Lucas and Lewellen

Monday, December 6th, 2004
6:30 P.M.
Aveco
Duck breast over fig, green peppercorn port reduction, topped with sour cherry dulceata and fresh garlic asparagus.
Lucas & Lewellen Mandolina 2000 pinot grigio
The hand harvested grapes are whole cluster pressed for minimal color extraction, chilled and cold fermented for crisp, lively flavor with natural acidity. This Pinot Grigio flavors are: key lime, citrus blossom and a hint of wild strawberry.

CassaNovva
Blueberries, persimmon, black grapes, roasted peppers, purple onions, honey-Dijon dressing with Assiago cheese, crispy pancetta and red leaf lettuce.
Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara 2000 Chardonnay
The wine was all barrel fermented in French oak of which one-third was new. The famed Santa Barbara "tropical fruit" is prominent featuring quince and pineapple in a lush palate. The vanilla, coconut and toast from the new French oak combine in this wine for a wonderful sensory experience.

Pollo Vechio
Grilled chicken-Parmesan sausage, cannelloni beans, roasted poblano peppers and whole garlic sauteed spinach.
Lucas & Lewellen Santa Barbara 2000 Pinot Noir
Meticulous tending in the vineyard and careful attention to the timing of harvest made possible this deliciously supple and elegantly red burgundy. Twenty percent new French oak gives a leathery, toasty quality combined with natural fruit tones of black cherry, truffle and spice.

Fillo-Cinn
Lucas & Lewellen 2000 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc
This wine was harvested from fantastically concentrated, selected Sauvignon Blanc grapes, like a fine French Sauternes, at 36 degrees brix. It was fermented in French oak barrels and allowed to stop fermenting naturally with 13% residual sugar.

$35 + tax & gratuity
